In the last couple of weeks, forgiveness has been a reoccurring theme in my life. I hear it in messages at church, I see it posted in quotes online, I talk about it with friends… I wanted to share a letter of forgiveness I received one day…
I forgive you for not thinking about me first with your time, energy or money.
I forgive you for not seeing what I needed.
I forgive you for thinking small.
I forgive you for not knowing me.
I forgive you for trying to hide things from me.
I forgive you for trusting others more than you trusted me.
I forgive you for not acknowledging how amazing I was as a girl and how much MORE so I am now.
I forgive you for being narrow minded.
I forgive you for hating my tears.
I forgive you for not considering my dreams important.
I forgive you for not knowing how to be romantic.
I forgive your lack of intimacy.
I forgive you for planning things last minute. It made me feel unimportant.
I forgive you for being you and NOT who I thought you could or should be.
I forgive you for loving me to the best of your ability, I just want more.
I forgive your insecurity.
I forgive your imperfections, blindness and humanity.
It all basically boils down to one thing. The biggest thing of all…
I forgive your fear.
Your Higher Self
Yup. This was a letter I wrote TO someone else but then in a sudden moment of clarity, realized it was to me, from my higher self. It now serves as my personal mantra. Anything I’ve ever needed to forgive someone else for, was the manifestation of my inner world. THIS continues to be one of the biggest revelations of my life.
Let me be clear. I am no forgiveness guru. Real forgiveness is a daily practice and God knows I fall off the wagon regularly, but I truly believe, the Universe blesses abundantly everyday and I don’t want to show up to the banquet with a dirty plate!
IMHO, FORGIVENESS is key to great physical, emotional and even financial health. For me, it’s worth the effort it takes to make it happen.
