Most of my life, I have floated between boxes of categories that I never really fit into anyway. They weren’t mine to begin with so I was usually “TOO MUCH” of this or that. Too emotional, too fat, too skinny, too tough, too silly, too intense, too young, too brown, too old, too down… It just got too exhausting! You feel me?
If you do, I’m here to say, you can stop now. If you’ve ever believed that you were too “X.” I’m just sayin, you can stop. We’ve been marketed a great campaign of shame and today I’d like to claim “Sin Verguenza Day” Let’s start with our bodies, the shape, the size, the condition of our skin. In some cases, lets admit, we’ve not always made the best choices for this awesome machine and try to do better! That’s it. Keep it moving (literally!)
Onto the mind. Here we find our deepest fears, our pains and judgments. What artist looks at the color black and throws it out? Instead, they see the absence of color as an opportunity to create shadow, contrast… interest! What would happen, if we stopped being ashamed of our thoughts and if we wanted a different life, we just changed our thinking?
And last but not least, even if we’ve never thought it, or hate to admit it, in our spirit, most of us desire UNITY. You know, that ONE ♥ vibe. What would happen if instead of focusing on how separate we were in this experience, we just took a breath and stopped? What if we inhaled DEEP, smiled and let ourselves and one another just BE? Maybe life would be a little different and those of us that were TOO MUCH might find that we’re actually, just right…
