If you are like most people on social media you will have noticed that no matter how many great comments you get, the negative ones are the ones you remember most. We just seem to be wired that way and it’s easy to see why we have conditioned ourselves to look for the faults in our lives. The more aware of our problems, the easier to solve them right? As early humans, one false move could mean death. Today a mistake may mean we lose our jobs, homes, friends… in other words, our “lives.” So how do we get to a place where we can enjoy life and still be mindful of the changes we need to take on? GRATITUDE.
Gratitude is a discipline, one that can be challenging to put into practice.
Studies have found that people who meditate on gratitude or keep gratitude journals, make greater strides in progressing towards personal goals, report higher levels of alertness, enthusiasm, determination, attentiveness, and energy. So why don’t we all just do it? Is it too hard? No, it just takes PRACTICE. I’ve written about gratitude many times before but if you have followed me for any length of time, you know that I am always on the lookout for hacks, tricks, and tips to live my best life. I recently found the cutest, fastest little gratitude hack and posted it on Instagram for all to see.
I’ve had a crazy hard day. STRESS was trying to take OVER. Here’s a mind hack that I wanted to share. Even if you’ve heard this trick before, it’s nice to know there’s an easy way out of a funk. Here it goes…. Just say THANK YOU at least 7 times in a row. I know it seems too simple. BUT here’s the thing, your mind will automatically start looking for things to be grateful for. Before you let your negative mind take back your mood, stay on course. Say THANK YOU and SMILE. #angelawakened #successcoaching #gratitude #godhasaplan
