A new year doesn’t have to be the reason to start a fast or cleanse, as a matter of fact, your cleanse should happen on the very day YOU decide to make it happen. The key to this cleanse is to take some ME TIME every day. Finding inner peace being alone is one of the keys to spiritual cleansing. We soak up tons of other people’s funky attitudes and thoughts. I invite you to take some time, ANY TIME that you can snatch that you don’t spend with someone or on your devices… to be completely alone and relax is a time of cleansing.
The seven day cleansing schedule.
Stop eating food for 36 hours and do a vegetable juice and/or fruit juice fast. It will help you think more clearly. Do it at least three to four times every year! Choose to be at peace. At any moment of your life you can decide to accept life’s circumstances instead of resist or judge it. If you have not already done this, you will probably find the liberation both remarkable and powerful. The saying that energy flows to where attention goes, is so true. Your assignment for today is to ONLY focus on what you want. If what you don’t want happens to come up, release itwitha a breath or a flip of the hand. Smile and say something like, “It’s all good! We are focusing on the good that is flowing my way.”
Be present. This moment contains the only true existence. It is the only place you can find the Divine. The past and future are amazing, but both can be distractions. For 10 times randomly today, master your mind and surrender it to the present moment. This may require a bit of practice. Some religious practices anchor getting present by using beads. You can use anyone of your senses, smell a flower, give a hug, listen to the breeze… Just be present.
Write a love letter. For 20 minutes write down everything that you appreciate about yourself. Small or big does not matter, just keep writing these positive statements down. Then choose the top 3 most emotionally moving appreciations on your list, and sit down and FEEL these ideas inside your body. Notice where you keep them inside. Post your list on a wall or keep it in a andy spot in your wallet or purse. Revisit it again and again throughout the day.
For today, give yourself several hours to relax and express yourself fully through some creative venue. Pick up a paintbrush, pencil, paper, find a block of clay, write something inspiring on your computer, or have an intimate revealing conversation with a total stranger or friend. Just do something extra creative today that you enjoy, and let yourself disappear in the creation of it.
Fuel your mind for at least five minutes, flood your consciousness with material that is positive, uplifting, and inspirational. Take in information that will enhance your experience of inner peace and well-being on the planet.
Unplug. The incessant accumulation of insignificant information that your mind absorbs from radio, T.V, emails, newspapers, gossip, and other distracting source is overwhelming. Dropping all media input may seem like a radical commitment, yet it is microscopic in comparison to becoming the master your reality. It is truly an AMAZING experience to be free from the media.
Try this cleanse for even a short while and you will feel good but do it regularly (3 or 4 times a year) and you will begin to see and know your own divinity!
