Have you ever noticed that the protons neutrons and electrons that make up all matter on Earth, look like planets revolving around the sun? Outside our bodies we go into our world, the atmosphere, then onto the infinite energy in outer space. Inside the body we go into our tissues, cells, and then onto the infinite energy of atoms in our inner space.
Fractals seem to provide a mathematical explanation for some core spiritual concepts. Don’t you think? The Bible says humans are created in the image of God. So, according to the Judeo-Christian faith, WE are potentially a reduced-size copy of the great creator. According to Tantra, the human being is a miniature universe and the same principles that apply to the universe apply in the case of the individual being.
Thousands of years after these Divine revelations, Marianne Williamson writes:“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
It seems humankind has been searching for meaning and purpose since inception of the species. At some point, we all seem to want to make sense of the pain, joy, failure or victory we’ve experienced. This is what fascinated me most about the geometry of chaos, the possibility of a mathematical explanation for the secret workings of Nature! The beauty of all this seeking and finding and learning and growing is this… There is a chance that a scientific discovery, personal life events or a social perception may disprove one or all of the components of our findings but NOTHING can take away from our individual experiences with love.
As long as we are breathing, we have a chance to experience and celebrate life and love on this planet!
If we have returned to love, we’ve been blessed to have gotten there.
